Almost as long as we have been here we have been leasing a couple of paddocks to some people to graze their horses. We are not horse people and weren’t sure how it was going to go, but it has worked out really well. The horses have been really friendly and it has been nice having them there. Our neice and nephews and other visitors all liked giving them a pat. It had become part of my morning routine to throw a bit of hay over the fence for them. Unfortunately tomorrow they will go as their owners have bought a property just a bit west of us and so will be taking them there. We aren’t sure if we will look for some more horses to go in there.

Normally their poo got harrowed back into the paddock, but this morning I went out and got a couple of wheel barrows full for the compost heap. Frosty was kind enough to do a poo right beside me to add to my pile.
